About JIC
The word "Interline" in the airline business means
cooperation between the airline companies in marketing
and sales for each other.
The Jordan Interline Club (JIC) is a non-profit club /
organization, that was established in 1985. The first
executive committee was elected in November 1985. The
club was accepted and received certificate from WACA
during AGA in Miami in 1986. JIC is the first of its
kind in the region.
CLUB
PURPOSE
The main purpose of this organization is promoting
goodwill, better understanding and knowledge amongst
airline personnel so they learn from each other how to
give better service to the public and to promote the air
transportation industry in general.
EVENTS
/ CONTRIBUTIONS

In 1995 and under the Patronage of his Highness
Prince Fiasal El Hussein, the Interline Club of
Jordan - JIC was proudly to host in Amman the 28th
AGA of the WACA where about 370 participants
attended from 64 clubs from 29 countries including
North and Latin America, The Near East and Africa,
Australia and the Far East. This great event was
again hosted by the club in 2001 hosting the 33rd
AGA at the Dead Sea – Jordan.

In 1997 and under the patronage of their
Highnesses Prince Fiasal and Princess Alia El-Faisal
, JIC has donated the revenue of its Annual event to
ALZAHR’ Association to establish a library for a
school at Bani Hamedah.

The club organizes a yearly winter charity
program where the club and its members contribute
clothes, money and gifts to the children of
different areas in the kingdom. The Program is
intended to add a warm smile on the face of children
in need.
CLUB ACTIVITIES
The club had and still have a various activities locally
to include sports events, parties, dinner and dances.
Also the club has its international famous and
well-known trips/ events as follow: -

AHLAN WA SAHLAN - WELCOME TO JORDAN , was first hosted
by the club in 1988 which turned out to be a success and
has taken place since annually (except May 1991)
b.
Desert Splendor Adventure, to keep in
touch with our friends this trip was introduced first in
October 1991. A 3 days camping trip to Wadi Rum. This
great event and due to the high participation from all
over the countries was renamed in 2001 as Jordan
Adventure which includes in addition to Wadi Rum and
Petra, Aqaba as a destination.

In addition to the above programs, the club hosted WACA
Annual General Assembly in 1995 and in 2001. The two AGA
s were a big success.

The club is also planning to host a new event called “Relax
in Jordan”
CLUB
AWARDS
The JIC is the first club in WACA to have two
international interline events per year. The club won
the following WACA awards: -

The Best International Interline
Event for 1988, 1989 and 2001.
B.
The Best Club for the Near East &
Africa Region for 1989, 1990, 1991, 1996, 1998, 1999,
2001, 2002 and 2003.
WHO CAN
BE A MEMBER?
-
Regular Member - Any employees of the civil and
commercial airline industry or IATA who have
attained permanent full time or permanent part time
status.
-
Retired Member - person who previously was a
regular member and achieved the minimum retirement
age specified by their employer.
-
Honorary members - shall consist of past club
presidents and persons recommended for such position
by the management committee.
